    Advanced Specialties in Educational Practice (ASEP) (M.Ed)

    Counseling (M.S.)

    This CACREP-accredited program trains aspiring counselors in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, or a dual option. Students complete 60 credits for a single focus or 76 credits for dual licensure. Fieldwork and practicum experiences are integrated throughout the program to prepare graduates for licensure and professional practice.

    Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (M.Ed.)

    This 30-credit online program prepares professionals in education, health, human services, and government to develop strong leadership and policy-making skills. The curriculum emphasizes leadership theory, organizational change, social justice, and collaboration. Graduates are prepared for leadership roles in schools, nonprofits, and policy contexts.

    A primarily online, low-residency '3-year plus' (10‑semester, 60‑credit) professional doctorate designed for working professionals in K–12, nonprofits, and human services—emphasizing applied research, equity, leadership, and organizational change.

    Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (Ph.D.)

    Higher Education Administration & Student Affairs (HESA) (M.Ed.)

    This 36-credit program prepares students for professional roles in student affairs, higher education administration, and leadership.     Special Education (M.Ed.)

    UVM’s Special Education (K–Age 21) M.Ed. prepares educators to support learners with disabilities in inclusive school settings across elementary, middle, and secondary levels. The program offers both licensure and non-licensure pathways, requiring approximately 30 credits that blend coursework with supervised field experiences. Graduates develop expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with families and school teams, and promoting equity and access for students with diverse learning needs.
